FINAL DESTINATION

OH WOW! my favorite “gorror” movie! Yes I just made up a word but it totally fits. Now if you want to be a proper horror watcher then you have to watch at least one intensely gory movie, it’s a norm.

So one day my friend Emily comes over for a sleepover and we are hanging out in my room. She asks me if I want to watch a gory movie, and I’m like duhhh. She then tells me to pull up Netflix on my TV and put in Final Destination. Keep in mind it was around 10:00 at night and we were watching a severely gross movie that is rated R…

This movie starts out with a french class. The teacher is Ms.Lewton (Kristen Cloke.) The class consisted of main characters Clear Rivers (Ali Larter), Alex Browning (Devon Sawa), Billy Hitchcock (Seann William Scott), Carter Horton (Kerr Smith), his girlfriend Terry Chaney (Amanda Detmer), Tod Wagner (Chad Donella) and other minor characters. The class is then seen getting on a plane to go to France. After boarding Alex gets off the plane shouting; Clear, Billy, Carter, Terry, and Tod all follow, along with Ms. Lewton all follow suit getting off the plane.

Something happens and all of their classmates on the plane die. The rest of the movie follows the students who did in fact get off the plane. All of the characters end up getting killed in horrific ways. I really do not want to spoil the deaths except for Terry’s because Terry’s death is one of my favorites. Just because it’s so unexpected, yet predictable if that makes any sense. So she is yelling at everyone and not paying attention to where she walked. Finally, she yells “Just drop dead!” just as a bus came. It slammed into her with so much force that her blood splatters on all her friends. This is one of the more fast almost forgotten deaths, it really happens so quickly you don’t know what to think when it goes down. That is why it is my favorite among so many really good death scenes.

Pros: For pros I’d say the fact that no one is being killed by a murderer. Once you watch the movie you will see what I mean by this and how this aspect of the movie makes it so much more interesting to watch than you typical slasher film. I also like how intense the death scenes are.

Cons: I can’t really think of many cons for this movie, it is very well done and so a con for it is that there are no cons!

Final Take: On my horror fanatic movie scale I rate Final Destination with 88/100 spine-chiller points. I recommend it if you are looking for an extraordinary, chilling, gory movie. This is just a classic horror movie that everyone needs to see.

That is all for this review of Final Destination! Tune in next time for another horror movie review on PRIME TIME HORROR
